Episode #4

The IET Skills Survey & The Sky at Night
On this week’s programme, Rhys speaks to Hugo Donaldson from the IET about the recent results of the 2010 Skills Survey which brought to light the fact that less than half of the UK’s engineers and technicians believe that the UK has the skills base to create a low carbon economy. Our STEM Ambassador of the Week is Alan Rowse from the University of Wales, Newport. He tells us about his job, training secondary school teachers. Finally, we launch our regular Astronomy feature with Chris North and Hugh Lang from the School of Physics & Astronomy at Cardiff University. Chris talks Mars with Lewis Dartnell from University College, London and Hugh gives us a preview of the night sky in October.

Hi Rhys, it looks like there might be some problem with the download links for all your podcasts…

    • Hi Mark,

Thanks for pointing this out. It appears that the site I was hosting them on decided to change the file locations without notifying me. I’ve updated the links now so it should all work. Let me know if you experience any more problems.
