Mike Sims
Mike joined Radio Cardiff‘s news team in the autumn of 2011 and since then has also undertaken traffic presenting duties on the breakfast show. He can now be heard reviewing jazz albums every week on the Jazz Breakfast  as well as playing bass in Imperfect Tenth.  Outside of Radio Cardiff, Mike has done many things, including working as a chef for 7 years.  His major passion is music and when he is off-air he tries to be playing or watching music – a passion which made him start writing live concert reviews for his blog Classical Modernist, many of which have been published in the Western Mail.

jcJonathan Crespo
Born in South America and raised in Canada, Cardiff based trumpet player Jonathan has toured the world while backing some of the biggest names in music. Jonathan now leads his own quartet and quintet as well as playing in several other bands as a sideman. Jonathan presents the Beginners guide to Jazz on The Jazz Breakfast show with Rhys Phillips every Saturday morning as well as presenting the days news headlines.

Andy Robertsandyr
Andy Roberts was the original Radio Cardiff jazz presenter when the station launched in 2007. He previously presented jazz shows for BBC Radio Wales and was one of the founding members of the mighty Wonderbrass. In recent times Andy’s musical activities have spread beyond jazz to blues, gypsy punk, Balkan beats, ukulele skiffle and more, but he’s happy to wake up early on Saturday to deputise for Rhys on the Jazz Breakfast when occasion calls.
