To mark Brain Awareness Week, a whole programme dedicated to brain related matter (both white and grey!). Emma Lane and Frank Sengpiel from Cardiff University talk about collaborative research between the schools of Pharmacy, Bioscience & Psychology and their joint outreach project, the Brain Games. Beth Berry reports from Queen Mary University of London which last week was announced as a centre of excellence for brain tumour research. We meet Amy Evans from the Brain Repair Group at Cardiff University and finally, Wendy Thomas from the Migraine Trust talks about a new method of treating migraines using magnetic pulses.
